A Learning Process | Summary - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Week 4 -

This week was eye opening. Literally.
Every little thing that came to my sight didn't just make me notice the little things but also made me think beyond what was in front of me and thus got me into the world of Imagination. This week taught me how to, not just look at and ignore things but also notice the tiny details and brainstorm on its mere existence. It showed how the mind can really expand by the simple practice of questioning things and how this practice can really have an impact on ones wavelength of thoughts.
Apart from just noticing and questioning things, I also learnt how each person is unique and has a different idea to offer to the table and how each one of us have such different ways to perceive things and thus it results to the blooming of ones individuality in being creative.

Presentation | Brainstorming - Week 4

| Brainstorming |

- Presentation -

- Reflection -

Presenting our process of "See. Think. Wonder." didn't just make us realise how important it is to communicate and connect to your listeners but also how coming up with spontaneous ideas plays a huge role in making the presentation a lot better.
Also, looking at all the other groups, present their work, showed me how different each one of us are in the way we think and perceive things and how each one of us are capable to be more creative and unique.
Overall, it was wonderful to see how each group put in so much work and effort to make this possible and how each group worked as a team.

TED Talk | Tony Fadell - Week 4

| The First Secret of Design is... Noticing |

Tony Fadell

It’s so weird how we never tend to think about, the way we all look at the world; the way we perceive and just deal with problems instead of trying to solve them. This happens due to habituation. Designers must overcome this to see the little things to change or alter or improve products. To start with we must look broader, we must take a step back and figure out what the actual problem is step by step and you’ll probably end up with a solution to the actual problem. Also, look closer, focus on the little details that are usually ignored and try to solve any barriers to make the whole thing easier. Lastly, think younger, ask questions. Children have not been on earth long enough to accept things as ‘the way things are’ , they will question and try to solve any problem they come across. We adults should try and do the same too, instead of “getting used to the problem.”

Team Work? | Day 27 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 27 -

Do you see how engrossed these bee's are? Just working on and on, but together. It reminds me of team work, and I wonder how the world would be like if we all we're considered one team. Spreading one love.

Hypocritical? | Day 26 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 26 -

So I saw these marine creatures and for some reason couldn't identify them. They looked like sea lions but I'm not sure... It was sadly fascinating to see how they killed the fish and it made me wonder how we humans are sometimes hypocritical as we see other creatures kill and feel horrible while we do the same and feel nothing... nevertheless it was an amazing experience.

Festivity? | Day 25 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 25 -

What do you see? A Blur Background? Good Focus? Nature? Yes all of that, but I also see meaning... This makes me think of Fireworks, it reminds me of festivity, joy and unity...It's little things like this that make me wonder the mere initiations/existence of Festivals... Imagine the world without any festivity? It's hard to do so... isn't it?

Replicates? | Day 24 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 24 -

When I went to Botanical Gardens, I was in aw to see how every little thing whether it be a flower or a leaf, had meaning to it. Every thing I saw, gave me a story. On seeing this, I was reminded of thorns which made me wonder how this plant replicates a porcupine...

Rare? | Day 23 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 23 -

What does this look like to you? A flower? No. It's a mushroom, yes even I was shocked on seeing this. I love how the mushroom has a dull coloured body but such a bright white border around it, it also looks like a plate to me. I wonder if this is a rare mushroom or not, it might just be one.

Flower or more? | Day 22 - Week 4

| See. Think. Wonder.|

- Day 22 -

I saw this very unique flower in Botanical Gardens, and the first thing that came to my mind was, "Is it just me or do these petals look like the pencil shavings you get on sharpening a pencil?"
Apart from noticing how beautiful the flower looked and how bright yet subtle the colour was, I began to wonder if this flower was naturally existing or was it fused for scientific studies, it could also have been a mistake.
