A Learning Process | Summary - Week 12

| Summary |

- Week 12 -

As I came to realise that the module was coming to an end, I automatically began to think and reconsider the fact that this module didn't just expand the wavelength of my thoughts, but also evolved me as a person. It has made me a lot more observant and has changed the way i see things. Although it has changed my perspective, It's sad to accept that it has come to an end, but as they say, don't be sad 'cause it's over, be happy 'cause it happened. So here's to a new beginning.

Product Design | Presentation - Week 12

| Product Design |

- Presentation -

This week we were asked to present our product while explaining the process of S.C.A.M.P.E.R.So I now introduce you to our brand new product, Flaunt. The World's first all in on everyday make-up pen.

We also showed how we were inspired by the simple structure of a pen and how we substituted the parts of a pen with make-up products to form our final product.

- Reflection -

This particular presentation took longer than we anticipated, we spent almost 2-3 hours just designing the product on photoshop as we paid a lot of attention to detail, and then we had to obviously make use of what we learnt before, thus we brainstormed and formed a Mind Map for SCAMPER. Overall this presentation was very satisfying as we tried our best to not just introduce our product in an interesting manner but also create a sense of excitement to our listeners and that to us is what a successful "product design" presentation is.

A Learning Process | Summary - Week 11

| Summary |

- Week 11 -

This week was rather more of a process of really observing and  realising how empathy towards things or even people is so important and how it plays such a huge role in terms of design. Its not just seeing someone else in a tough situation and thinking of a solution but its more of putting yourself in that situation and coming up with an effective solution which is practical and affordable to your target audience. It showed how designing a product is actually such a huge task and requires various technical skills, and how it's one of the most competitive yet creative and fast paced industry in the world.

Product Design | Class Activity - Week 11

| Product Design |

- Week 11 -

This week we were asked to design a new product using forced connections.
The first step to creating the product was idea generation.
Thus we went through a process of :

- See. Think. Wonder. -

where we took out random things from our bags and tried to really observe and think what can be the next evolutionary product.

- Looking 10/2 -

And finally,
We made a Mind Map for S.C.A.M.P.E.R to help us with out final presentation.

- Reflection -

As a group we really worked together in terms of not just brainstorming and coming up with the ideas but also in terms of designing and presenting the product. Each group member played a vital role in making this product come to life. We also did research on the statistics of the product and its practical use in the real world. This made us think even more and also made us realise how much work, thought and detailing goes into a single product.

A Learning Process | Summary - Week 10

| Summary |

- Week 10 -

This week was different. Im not too sure how to explain it in depth but this week I learnt to pay attention to detail, and also realised how even the smallest of things have so much thought, work and creativity put into it. It taught me how everything around us is such an interesting work of creativity and how there is so much attention to detail. Detailing is a hard task, and not everyone can master it, but as they say, patience is the key and the results are so satisfying. I've started practicing and applying some more detailing into everything I do as it results to being some of my best works.

TED Talk - Shawn Achor | Week 10

|The Happy Secret to Better Work|

Shawn Achor

In this TED Talk, Shawn Achor emphasises on the fact that each one of us have control over our own happiness and how that impacts on every decision we make. We must change our ways of looking at the world than let it control us. Yes, we do have control over a lot of things, and we can not only change the way we look at things but also change the results of business and education. One must always stay positive and be grateful for the things they have and the things they can do and this first step towards optimism can really have a huge impact on ones happiness and rate of productivity. Just to conclude, the way you look at things plays a huge role in the decisions you make, so think smart and stay happy.

A Learning Process | Summary - Week 9

| Summary |

- Week 9 -

This week I found my 'Focus', I got a clear image of what I want to do, which might change overtime but as of now it's something I'm working on, I'd rather work on something that I really want than be unsure about what I want and work on things that dont necessary benefit me. I want to be a digital creator, which is not easy at all, but it's worth the risk, and I'm ready to work and hustle on achieving it. It's so important to focus on what needs your attention, as, the focus that comes from within leads to mere success. I'm not saying it's easy to find one thing to focus on as we humans have a very indecisive mind, but once we reach the point of discovering it, It's all hustle and work from there. I believe in myself and in my work ethic. I will strive with utter focus to achieve my goals.
